How to Store the Leftover:
We rarely have leftovers of this mango avocado salad. Personally, I like making this fruit salad or salsa (whatever you call it) fresh and finishing it all the same day. On the other hand, if you make a lot and plan to store leftovers afterward, just remember that avocado changes color. However, due to the inclusion of lime juice in this fresh salsa recipe, it may not turn all the way brown.
At the same time, I would recommend only making the quantity you plan to finish on the same day. To enjoy the fresh, crisp flavors of this mango strawberry avocado salad, eat it on the same day!
Tips for Making the Best Mango Strawberry Avocado Salad
- Use the fruits and vegetables you have. Cucumber, tomatoes can work in this fruit salad; try to cut them into similar shapes. You can equally add apples or pear.
- Make sure not to use overripe fruits. This is because you will still need to cut them and want them to hold their shapes. Use overly ripe fruits in smoothies and baking but not in mango strawberry avocado salad, aka fruit salad.
- Do not over-combine. The last thing you want is a semi-mashed-up salad!
- Make this recipe vegan by using tofu instead of fish.
- Drizzle a little honey if you wish for some sweetness; this is optional and totally up to you.
