The Ingredients for Mango Pineapple Smoothie Recipe:
I love me some pineapples; I didn’t know it originated from the Caribbean, from a place called Guadalupe until I started researching the origin of this fruit. This plant grows mainly in tropical weathers. Pineapples are very juicy and yet nutritious. Some of the health benefits of pineapples may include immune support; it promotes good digestive health. As well as the fact that it has anti-inflammatory value. Pineapple also can reduce the risk of macular degeneration according to research. A cup of pineapple contains about 74 calories, which includes 94% carbohydrate, 4% protein, and 2% fat. When it comes to this smoothie pineapple is a must because it makes it better.
Much About Mango.
Mango is tropical sunshine in fruit; the bright color and taste add magic to this tropical smoothie. Mangoes belong to a family of a plant called Anacardiaceae, and they are scientifically referred to as Mangifera indica. By and large, mangoes remain one of my best fruits ever. Now that I live in the United States, I take advantage of the abundance of mango in the summer. I usually buy loads, wash, chop, and freeze up for occasions like this smoothie.
Fortunately, you can also buy frozen mangoes from your local grocery store. A cup of mango has about 100 calories. But this recipe requires only half a cup or half of a whole mango. It is important to realize the nutritional value of mango is major. In recent times, mangoes have been dubbed as one of the great foods for stabilizing high blood pressure. It can also boost brain health as well as bone health. On the personal level, I love the wonders it works with the digestive system, particularly in relieving constipation aka very kind to our digestive system.
Alongside pineapple and mango, you will need a banana, diary-free yogurt, and coconut water (you can sub this with orange juice). Banana is very high in potassium. On the other hand, dairy-free coconut yogurt readily adds nutrients and flavor to this smoothie. Finally, the addition of orange juice provides much-needed vitamin C for better immune health. YIPPEE! 😁
Mango Pineapple Smoothie Frequently Asked Questions:
Is Mango and Pineapple Smoothie healthy?
Interestingly, this question has a short and long answer because the healthiness of your smoothie depends on what you add to it!
Yes, mango and pineapple smoothie is healthy if you use healthy ingredients! Otherwise, it may become unhealthy. For instance, a smoothie with added refined sugar and other harmful elements is not the best for the body!!
What goes well with Mango and Pineapple in a Smoothie?
Uniquely, mango and pineapple can easily go well with other fruits and vegetables in a smoothie. For instance, bananas are great additions to this smoothie. On the other hand, I love using coconut yogurt in this smoothie recipe to hype up the tropical flavors!
Does McDonald’s use real fruit in their smoothies?
Unfortunately, McDonald’s mango pineapple smoothie is made from a fruit base or concentrate.
What is McDonald’s mango pineapple smoothie made of?
McDonald’s mango pineapple smoothie made of a mango pineapple base, ice, and low-fat “smoothie yogurt!” These three ingredients are listed on McDonald’s website. Sadly, we are not exactly sure what the base is. However, it seems to be a kind of concentrate.
Though unrelated, I suggest you make smoothies yourself rather than buying it from McDonald’s. It is far healthier and nourishing than McDonald’s!

I prefer to use frozen banana but you can use fresh if that’s what you have.
Make the smoothie lighter by adding more liquid.
