Refreshing Strawberry Sweet Iced Tea with Fresh Strawberries!
Here comes the main iced tea that is on repeat in my household throughout the summer…fresh strawberry iced tea! It’s naturally sweet, so you won’t feel guilty for drinking it all up, and boy, is it refreshing! Sweet strawberry iced tea is legitimately one of the easiest and most effortless summer iced teas to make! All you need is three ingredients: brewed, cooled tea, fresh strawberries, and honey. You can always substitute honey with monk fruit sweetener for a no-calorie choice.
The best thing is that, just like my other iced tea recipes (peach, pineapple, and watermelon), I make this one with FRESH strawberries. Nothing beats fresh, ripe, juicy strawberries from the local farmer’s market or the grocery store. It’s easy-peasy, making it the recipe that everyone needs. My preference for making any type of fruit tea will always be fresh fruits! Fresh fruits are juicy and packed with flavors, and they sure do not disappoint in this refreshing strawberry iced tea!
What Is Strawberry Iced Tea Made Of?
My strawberry iced tea only requires three ingredients: fresh strawberries, brewed tea, and honey. If you like, you can garnish it with mint to make it a little extra! On the other hand, you can swap honey with any sweetener! I recommend monk fruit sweetener if you wish to keep this low-carb. Make sure to head over to my YouTube channel for video recipes.

How to Make Healthy Strawberry Iced Tea Using Fresh Strawberries (Step-by-Step):
Why drink store-bought stuff that has preservatives and chemicals in it? You and your family deserve better. It’s so easy to serve a healthy and delicious drink in just a few simple steps!
- Brew the Tea
Brew your sweet tea using this tea instruction. Or simply steep 3 black Lipton tea bags in 4 cups of boiled water. Steep for 3-5 minutes, remove tea bags, sweeten accordingly. Make sure you let it cool completely before making your strawberry iced tea.
- Prep Your Strawberries
Wash the strawberries and cut them into smaller chunks to fit your blender. Place cut strawberries into your blender and add honey to it. Cover the blender and blend/puree the strawberries.
- Strain the Strawberry Puree
Place a colander over a clean bowl, pour the strawberry puree in, and strain out the strawberry seeds and pulp. (NOTE:You can also skip this part if you are okay with the tiny pulp/seed. The seeds/pulp will be less than a tablespoon but still necessary to sieve out, in my opinion)
- Combine and Serve
Now, to finish, combine your fresh strawberry puree and sweet tea for a refreshing quench! Place ice into your serving glass or jar, add 1/4 cup of your strawberry puree, and fill up with 1/2 to 1 cup of cooled sweet tea. Give it a good stir with a straw, and enjoy! Make sure to add fresh, ripe strawberry slices for even more flavors! YUM!!!
Recipe Notes/Tips for Making the Best Iced Strawberry Tea at Home!
- You don’t have to strain out the strawberry seeds and pulp if you don’t want to, but it allows for a smoother drink.
- Taste along the way, as you may not need to add any sweetener. You can use honey, which is what I use, or monk fruit sweetener. It really doesn’t take much-added honey…just a touch!
- Garnish with some mint leaves for a pretty presentation.
- Add fresh strawberry slices for garnishing and flavor!

Variations and Substitutions
- Struggling to find good, fresh strawberries? Check the produce section at your store and see if they have any cleaned and cut up.
- Add some other fresh berries to enjoy with this sweet fruit tea too.
- Try some other herbs instead of mint, like basil or rosemary.
- Feel free to use another natural sweetener that you have on-hand, or even completely omit it.
FQAs
Yes, it is healthy when you make it following this recipe. I only sweeten with honey, and monk fruit sweetener is an option too. The reason it’s healthy is because I use fresh strawberries and natural sweeteners instead of refined sugar.
Sometimes, the strawberries themselves are so sweet, you won’t need any sugar at all. It just depends on the batch. I know it’s habit for many people to reach for refined sugar, but don’t do that. Choose honey, monk fruit sweetener, or another natural sweetener instead. You will only need a touch of it to sweeten things up if needed.
This fresh strawberry iced tea will last up to 5 days in your fridge in terms of being fresh enough. It likely won’t last a day though if your family is like mine because they will drink the whole thing.
Yes! In fact, I urge you to use fresh strawberries in this strawberry iced tea. Please don’t use canned or store-bought juices that are full of preservatives.
Honestly, the best way is to make batches of this strawberry iced tea as needed. Strawberries can turn on you quickly; the best flavors are when you make them fresh. You could use frozen strawberries that have no added syrups, sugar, or other ingredients, but they may not be very sweet.
