Get ready to make these tasty bacon-wrapped oven-baked chicken breasts tonight. Here’s how:
- Get Prepped

- Cut the Chicken
Cut your chicken by making 3 to 4 slashes with a knife (see photo).
- Season
Put your slashed chicken breasts into a bowl and add the seasoning ingredients – ACV, olive oil, onion powder, paprika, Knorr, salt, ginger, thyme, black pepper, and cayenne. Using clean hands or wearing gloves, combine the chicken with all the seasoning ingredients.
- Wrap Chicken with Bacon
Use 1-2 bacon to wrap each chicken breast. Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts on the lined baking sheet.
- Bake
Bake for 30-35 or until fully cooked. You use the meat thermometer to ensure your meat is properly cooked. During the last 5 minutes, switch the oven setting to broil to get them nice and browned up.

Garnish and serve bacon-wrapped chicken breasts with your favorite sides!
Tips/Recipe Notes For Making The Tastiest Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breasts in the Oven:
- When you slash the chicken breasts, make sure you’re not cutting them too deeply or you’ll wind up with pieces instead of whole breasts.
- I use two bacon strips to wrap each breast, though a bigger chicken breast may need 2 ½ strips of bacon.
- Use a meat thermometer at the thickest part of the chicken to make sure it is completely cooked to 165F internally.
- During the broiling part, keep a watchful eye to make sure it doesn’t burn.
- And finally, this is optional but I wholeheartedly recommend that you make a quick gravy with chicken broth, flour, and some seasoning to make this recipe even more ahh-mazing!

How to Store the Leftovers
Put your leftovers in the fridge in a trusty airtight container and make sure you eat them within 3 days. In my house, any leftovers we may have of this dish are gone before the next 24 hours. That’s how yummy these are!
Variations and Substitutions
- Feel free to swap out the seasonings and use Cajun instead. That would be awesome!
- If you prefer dark meat, you could do boneless thighs.
- Don’t eat pork but love the idea of wrapping your chicken breasts like this? Try turkey bacon!
How Do You Ensure That Your Chicken Breasts Are Fully Cooked?
Don’t just guess or that could come back to haunt you – get a meat thermometer and pop it into the thickest area of each piece. Make sure it says 165F!

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breasts FAQs:
At 400F, it’s going to take about 30 to 35 minutes, depending on the thickness. After broiling to brown the bacon, use your meat thermometer to ensure it’s fully cooked through.
Of course, you can, and the only thing you need to make sure is that the chicken is cooked thoroughly. At this cooking time and temperature, the bacon and chicken will definitely be done. However, always use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is well done.
The bacon will crisp up more when you put the oven to broil at the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
For this bacon-wrapped chicken, you just want to season the chicken well prior to wrapping it with the bacon. It’s THAT simple!
You’ll want to combine all the seasoning ingredients and slather each piece of chicken thoroughly. This gets all those flavors in, and the bacon essentially seals the deal.
