  • 1 pack of bacon (typically about 15 strips inside)
  • 1 TBS apple cider vinegar
  • 1 TBS Olive oil
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 3/4 tsp dry thyme

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Get Prepped. Start by lining a big baking sheet with foil, then place parchment paper on it and set aside. Then preheat your oven to 400F, and while it heats up, wash and clean your chicken breasts if you prefer, and use paper towels to pat them dry.

Notes

When you slash the chicken breasts, make sure you’re not cutting them too deeply or you’ll wind up with pieces instead of whole breasts.

I use two bacon strips to wrap each breast, though a bigger chicken breast may need 2 ½ strips of bacon. 

Use a meat thermometer at the thickest part of the chicken to make sure it is completely cooked to 165F internally. 

During the broiling part, keep a watchful eye to make sure it doesn’t burn.

Gravy: And finally, this is optional but I wholeheartedly recommend that you make a quick gravy with 1 cup of chicken broth, 2 tablespoons of flour, and some seasoning (as needed) to make this recipe even more ahh-mazing!

Note that serving your bacon wrapped chicken breasts with gravy is optional. But the fam love it with gravy sometimes.
