Empower Your Life This New Year With These Books

Bracing up for better days. In addition to books literally being the key to change the future, they are equally timeless. In other words, a great book will always stand the test of time. Bracing up for better days.

In addition to books literally being the key to change the future, they are equally timeless. In other words, a great book will always stand the test of time. [bctt tweet=”No matter how much you think you already know, you will always find something new and unique in a book you are reading or re-reading.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

HERE’S THE DEAL: if you are ready to chart a compelling future for yourself you have to start reading, you have to start reading empowering books. Generally speaking, people are hugely encouraged to read books and read more. Unfortunately, however, only strong leaders tend to follow that advice (well, according to this research). For instance, Bill Gates, the world-renowned Microsoft founder reads about 50 books per year. Obviously, he knows a lot, like a huge LOT, after all, he built a multi-billion dollar company, yet, he reads and reads and reads! Am I surprise learning about Mr. Bill Gates love for books, nope! This is because averagely, most CEOs and high performing leaders read one book a week.ย Here we go:

My 2019 must-read books.

Though the year 2019 may be a little far from now (well, just only a month from now). But, if you intend to reach new heights and go places (you have never been before) then, you must start enriching your mind quickly. And one of the effective ways to do this is through books, read great books. If possible read everything you can lay your hands on. Meanwhile, also unlearn some of the habits and practices that arenโ€™t moving you forward, in the long run, you will be grateful you did. Here are some of the books that change my outlook on life in no particular order.

1. Gratefully Growing.

In reality, I will seem unauthentic if didnโ€™t list any of my books in this post considering the fact that I have written and published three books, of course I have to encourage you to read my book, because it will bless your life. So here we go: my book “Gratefully Growing” reminds you to remain thankful irrespective of circumstances. [bctt tweet=”We can only do so much with an ungrateful heart, learn how to win with gratitude, remember, every step is a learning process, be grateful for each step.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

2. How to Win Friends.

The book “How to Win friends and Influence People,” by Dale Carnegie is one the most important books in history; life is too short to be fighting all the time with other people. In other words, this authoritative book shows you how to navigate through life with fewer enemies and more influence. Have you ever wondered why people follow the people they follow? Trust their leaders and every word that comes out from their mouth? If you are like one of my friends that havenโ€™t read this book yet, now is the time.

3. Bounce Back.

“Bounce Back From Burnout” is one of those books I have recommended on multiple occasions. Because, why not? To clarify, no one like to get burned out and sadly, some people only realize this a little late when it has already happened. YIKES. The author of this powerful must-read book, Michala Leyland is a leader, mentor, a no-nonsense coach who helps women create a happier future by gaining clarity. [bctt tweet=”I want to encourage you to get to know how to prevent burnout (the signs to look out for) and equally how to bounce back without breaking yourself.ย ” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

4. Start With Why.

When I first listened to Simon Sinek, I was flabbergasted. To explain, I was speechless, and for one moment or rather a whole month I thought genuinely about my why. Simon Sinekโ€™s work is a testimony of his WHY movement, and in the book “Start With Why,” he explains how great leaders over and over again have used the power of why to inspire followers. I particularly love how Simon Sinek drew from powerful stories of great leaders. Empower and elevate your brilliance in 2019 and beyond with this must-read book.

5. You Better Think.

Pamela Fosterโ€™s book, “You Better Think Before You Speak,” is one of those books I consider a must-have. I love how this book subtly reminds us about the power of thinking before speaking. By the same token, it uses the acronym THINK to emphasize the necessity of thoughts before they became actual words. I remember reading this book and was just feeling minister Pamelaโ€™s words ring in my ear. [bctt tweet=”In the long run, words do matter, and it is highly imperative to think it before you say it.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

6. Crushing It.

In September 2018, we moved to Kentucky, and in the process of that move, I had to drive one of our cars, (which I didnโ€™t like that much because I rarely enjoy long distance driving.) During the almost twelve hoursย of driving I listened to Crushing It by Gary V. I love and adore Gary Vaynerchukย (I mean everyone does, right?), but listening to this book really gave me hope and more appreciation for him. For instance, I do like how he also shared stories of unconventional entrepreneurs aka influencers that are crushing it. Such relatable stories are indeed hope-builders. In fact, I inevitably think all Gary V’s books are a must-read.

7. The Adventures Of Meesha:

“Meeshaโ€™s First Day At School,” is an exciting childrenโ€™s book that takes young readers into Meeshaโ€™s big, brave, and beautiful world of starting school. This book will make an excellent gift for the little ones that are of school age or those approaching school age. I personally think that this is a must-read book for all preschoolers and parents. To put it another way, the adventures of Meesha is a cool way to get kids school-ready, so therefore, if you have young minds around you get it for them so they can soar in 2019 and beyond. The author, Mr. Fred Lee Brandon is a tech guru and philanthropist, who is also committed to the issues of childrenโ€™s education and empowerment. [bctt tweet=”Though this is (of course) a childrenโ€™s book, the adventures of Meesha actually has a great lesson for you and me, and that is to be daring and fearless just like Meesha.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

8. Wise Courtship.

Without a doubt, “Wise Courtship” written by relationship expert, award-winning author, TV, and Radio personality, Toni Henderson-Meyers is a one-stop no sugar coating before relationship and marriage guide. In fact, this book shows singles the three-step dating system that helps them determine the real intent and character of their love interest. Moreover, it also challenges ready to mingle singles to choose wisely. Not only is this a must-read book for growing and nurturing a fruitful and healthy relationship, it instantly presents useful tips that are also helpful in business and life relationships.

In reality, love is everything but sometimes learning how to navigate the challenges of potential love interests is not as easy as a walk in the park, but with prayers and guidance it is doable! Position yourself to make wiser love decisions in 2019.

9. From Pain to Power.

“From Pain to Power: Embrace the Lesson and Reclaim Your Power,” a transformative must-read book is written by Dallas Gordon an award-winning and highly respectable E-commerce queen. This book is a true-life testimony of how the authorโ€™s challenges made her courageous and how we can all learn from that. Ordinarily, we all go through some sort of challenges in our own journeys and can use relatable words of wisdom. [bctt tweet=”Make 2019 a great year irrespective of what you may be going through (at this time), by preparing; use Pain to Power to learn how to deal with challenges of life.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]

10. I Am Thriving.

“I Am Thriving: 33 Strategies to Command your day and Frame your Thoughts using Affirmations,” is a guided affirmation journal written by Shabree Ewusi an award-winning Bespoke lifestyle strategist. Personally, I believe that one of the ways to command your day or vision is to affirm it. If you believe that there is power in a spoken word; then use this guided affirmation journal and speak yourself to the next level. In other words see from the eyes of faith. Speak from the eyes of faith, and act as if it is done. Begin to speak your beautiful life into existence. [bctt tweet=”In view of making 2019 your best year, you must begin to command it relentlessly, in other for it to manifest miraculously.” username=”NkechiAjaeroh”]
