Ingredients

Scale
  • Salmon (I used 7 salmon fillets); cook how many you want.
  • 1 Can coconut milk (13.66oz); I use Thai Kitchen Brand
  • 1 Whole fresh lime
  • 6 fresh garlic cloves (grated); do not use minced garlic from the store
  • 3 Tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 12 teaspoons Knorr Bouillon seasoning powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Slap Your Mama Cajun seasoning (for seasoning salmon before pan-frying)
  • ½1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (add salt to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional; for a kick of spiciness); add as needed.
  • A handful of spring onion or lime zest for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients. This recipe goes by quickly, so I highly suggest you gather all your ingredients before starting.
  2. Prep Your Vegetables. Clean and grate the garlic and set aside. Zest the lime, set the zest aside to use later. Then slice or cut the spring onions (if using it).
  3. Prep the Salmon. If using frozen salmon, allow it to thaw in the refrigerator. Then, when ready to use, wash and dry with a paper towel. Place salmon on a clean surface like a chopping board. Season your salmon with a generous amount of salt and black pepper, and slap your mama and Knorr. Rub the seasonings into your salmon, ensuring they are well seasoned on all sides. 4. Pan-fry Salmon. Place a clean pan on a hot stove and add coconut oil. Then, cook for 5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove and set aside for the next step. If your pan cannot contain all the fish at a go, cook them in batches. Alternatively, you could equally air fry or bake these instead of pan fry. 5. Make the Creamy Coconut Lime Sauce. In the same pan, add a small amount of coconut oil if needed. Ignore if you have enough oil. Ensure that the stove is on medium—low, then add the grated or minced garlic. Cook until translucent (do not allow it to burn), and add the coconut milk. Then, season with salt, pepper, cayenne (if needed) and Knorr. Stir to combine; add half of the lime zest and squeeze in fresh lime juice. Stir, taste, and adjust flavors as needed. Then add the salmon, cover it, and allow it to simmer. Ensure all the salmon are soaked up in the lovely coconut lime garlic sauce! You can simmer the sauce until it thickens to your consistency. Serve with any side, including rice and vegetables. Creamy Pan-fried Salmon in Coconut Lime Garlic Sauce is calling! This is seriously the BEST Ever Coconut Lime Sauce Salmon Recipe! Notes

This salmon recipe only requires a few vegetables. However, I suggest you prep them beforehand.

Use some of the Knorr to season the salmon before pan frying it, and use the remaining when making the sauce.

Make sure to simmer the sauce a little to thicken it to the consistency you want.

When you add the salmon to back to the sauce, make sure to also add the drippings. They all go together, LOL.

Instead of pan-frying the salmon prior to adding to the sauce, you can actually bake or air-fry them. You do you!
