This nourishing breakfast smoothie is made with only five ingredients – frozen peaches, frozen strawberry, frozen, yogurt and orange juice! Though this is a vegetarian smoothie recipe, you can easily make it vegan by substituting Greek yogurt with a dairy-free yogurt.
This vegetarian gluten-free peach and strawberry smoothie is perfect healthy breakfast smoothie recipe. This would be fantastic for those days that you are in a hurry, or maybe you just desire to eat a lighter Breakfast. It can also serve as a quick healthy and nutritious breakfast replacement, especially if you are looking to lose weight.
Ingredients
- ½ cup of frozen peach
- ½ cup of frozen strawberry
- ½ of a whole banana (frozen)
- ½ cup of Greek yogurt
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients into the blender, starting with the liquid first; orange juice (this helps for easy blending). Then add the remaining ingredients – peaches, strawberries, banana.
- Blend (using a high-speed blender; I typically use the “smoothie” setting). Watch out for accidents; pause and continue a couple of times if needed.
- Smoothie is ready when the mixture is very smooth and creamy.
- Serve in a jar or a cup; you cannot go wrong. Enjoy with a loved one!
