Ingredients

  • 3 cups of frozen blueberries 
  • I Big Ripe banana (frozen)
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of orange juice

Frozen blueberries, frozen bananas, yogurt and orange juice

For Vegan Blueberry Smoothie Version:

  • 1 cup of blueberry (frozen)
  • 1 cup of fresh spinach (optional)
  • ½ cup of plant-based milk (I used vanilla soy milk)
  • 1/3 cup of orange juice
  • ½ of a whole banana (frozen)

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients to the Blender: Add the ingredients into the blender, starting with the liquid first; orange juice (this helps for more effortless blending). Then, yogurt, frozen bananas, and blueberries. Please ensure that your blueberries and bananas are frozen. You will have a watery consistency if they aren’t. For Vegan Blueberry Smoothie

  1. Follow the same instruction as above, and blend.
  2. Makes one “12 oz.” jar.
  3. Serves only one person.

Notes

Use frozen blueberries and bananas.

No need to add sweetener such as sugar, honey, maple syrup or monk fruit sweetener.

Smoothies are best if consumed immediately!

This recipe serves three.

There is no need to add ice to this blueberry smoothie. This is because the blueberries and bananas are frozen!

Perfect as a breakfast smoothie.

Add quick oats or chia seeds if you want this to be more filling. 

Do not use a food processor; use a blender!
