Ingredients

  • 3 Fresh ripe peaches
  • 1 cup of Monk fruit sweetener 
  • 23 Black tea (I used 2 tea bags by the Lipton brand)
  • 45 cups Water 
  • A couple of Fresh mint leaves for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Tea. The first step is to make your tea by boiling 3 cups of water and putting 2 tea bags into the hot water. Steep, then remove the bags. Let the tea cool.   2. Make Peach Syrup. While the tea cools, you can keep busy by washing and cutting your fresh peaches into tiny chunks. Put them in a saucepan with the monk fruit sweetener and a cup of water. Let this boil, then drop it to a simmer on low for 10 to 15 minutes. The peaches will break down and you can then use a potato masher to break them up just a bit more. You can add an additional cup of water if needed (I usually don’t). Cover the pitcher and place in the refrigerator to cool before serving. Notes

Use ripe peaches for tastier tea. It won’t be the same with frozen or canned.

Be mindful not to overboil the syrup.
