Description

A simple and easy recipe for air fryer green beans with garlic butter sauce requires only a few ingredients; fresh green beans, onions powder, salt, pepper, avocado oil as well a drizzle of garlicky, buttery sauce! Air fried garlic green beans are easy, quick, tender, crisp, deliciously delightful, and perfect with any main dish. P.s. I love it with salmon! This air fryer fried green beans recipe cooks in less than 10 minutes in the air fryer (well, obviously)! But we don’t stop there; I take it a little further with my garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz bag  (or about 5 cups) of washed, snipped & ready to use green beans
  • 1 tablespoon of avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Garlic Butter Sauce Ingredients: (Optional)

  • 2 big raw garlic cloves (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted); I used salted butter.
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Step one: prep the ingredients. Gather the ingredients. Then proceed to wash the green beans and trim off the ends. I used already snipped and triple-washed green beans to make my life easier. Also, grate the garlic.
  2. Step two: season air fryer green beans. First, sprinkle avocado oil on the green beans. Then add the onion powder generously. Finally, sprinkle the salt and pepper, then toss to combine. Ensure that beans are coated in the seasoning.
  3. Step three: air fry green beans. Place seasoned green beans in the air fryer basket. Set the time to 10 minutes and the temperature to 370. Air fry turning halfway. Mix the sauce together while the green beans is cooking. To make the garlic butter sauce; first, melt the butter. Add all the ingredients (grated garlic, melted butter, honey, and dijon mustard) to a bowl; combine.
  4. Step four: check the green beans. Check this easy air fryer green beans around the 8-minute mark. And if that’s cooked to your doneness, then stop cooking. I cook mine for exactly 10 minutes because I want them crispy and tender. Remove green beans from the air fryer basket and place them on the serving dish.
  5. Step five: drizzle garlic butter sauce. Shall we turn this into air fryer garlic green beans? Simply drizzle the garlic butter sauce on the air fried green beans, and enjoy! Cooking green beans in the air fryer doesn’t get easier than this!

Notes

Make sure to pick fresh and firm green beans!

The garlic butter sauce is optional; however, it is very necessary as it adds more flavors to the green beans.

Do not fill the air fryer basket to the brim when air frying the green beans.

You can keep air fryer green beans vegan by excluding the butter and honey in the sauce.

Add salt according to your preference.

Use already snipped, and triple washed packaged green beans to save time!

Air fry green beans in less than 10 minutes if you want them to be crunchy. However, I air fried them for 10 minutes for a crispy, tender green beans.

Use the herbs and spices you like. I kept it simple because I made the sauce.

This is my air fryer, and I love it!
