Ingredients
Turkey Wings Ingredients:
- 5 lbs turkey wings
- 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 TBS Olive oil
- 2 teaspoons dry parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon Knorr chicken bouillon
- 1 teaspoon onions powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional; if needed. I didn’t add salt to this recipe because I used salted lemon pepper seasoning, Knorr chicken bouillon as well as salted butter. )
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)
Lemon Butter sauce:
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- Dry parsley
Instructions
- Gather. The ingredients are simple but to ensure you don’t leave something out by mistake, gather everything first.
- Prep the wings. Next, wash and clean the turkey wings. You will likely need to cut the tips off of yours (I had to on mine).
- Season Turkey Wings. Put the wings into a bowl with the remaining ingredients listed for the turkey (Lemon pepper seasoning, olive oil, Dry parsley, Knorr bouillon, Onion powder, Garlic powder, Dried thyme, Lemon juice, and Salt). Combine to ensure that every part of each turkey wing is soaked with spices. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes or even overnight.
- Air fry Turkey Wings. When ready to cook, place the seasoned turkey wings into your air fryer basket. Set the time to 30 minutes and the temperature to 375F. Make sure you turn the wings half-way through the cooking time. They will be ready when they reach an internal temperature of 165F.
- Make the Lemon Pepper Butter sauce. While your turkey wings are cooking, make the lemon pepper butter sauce by melting the butter in the microwave and adding all the sauce ingredients. Stir well to combine.
- Toss and coat. When both the sauce and wings are ready, toss them together to coat while still hot. Allow them to cool slightly before you serve them.
Notes
Trim your wings to cut off the tips first. If you’re unsure how to do that, you can also ask the butcher in the meat department to trim them for you.
Please note that I didn’t add salt to this recipe because I used salted lemon pepper seasoning, Knorr chicken bouillon as well as salted butter. You will need salt if you use unsalted lemon pepper seasoning or unsalted butter!
If possible, allow the turkey wings to marinate before air frying. This allows the flavors to intensify.
Please do not skip the lemon pepper butter sauce; it makes a lot of difference in this recipe!
Let the wings rest for about 10 to 15 minutes after cooking. They will be juiciest this way.
Don’t waste the drippings. You can make a tasty gravy out of them!
You can make this ahead, especially if you are prepping for Thanksgiving or any other occasion. This is my air fryer!
